Statement:
“Catching the Conceptional Attitude in Anatolian Culture”
My purpose is to bring in a new style, a new meaning to our existing Anatolian Culture. With the effort to revivify the origin and the potential, usage and custom, social life, tradition, habits, surrounding circumstances that are cultural indicators of periods of the Anatolian who goes back to Smyrna, Hittite, Hattie, Hurri, Troia, Assyria, Urartu, Phrygia, Lydia, Karia, Lykia, Phoenicia, Hellen, Assos, I codified them in my memory.
I brought a new interpretation to the order among objects and figures which are full of textural richness. We can say that it is like the Archaeology of the main structure that results from research-studying-interpretation.
My drawing discipline is distinct by graphic values based on Stylization.
Of course, the reflection of world art trends on Anatolian culture, Anatolian aesthetics, on our national values and cultural possessions is realized by original personality and identity.
Vita / Lebenslauf:
She was born in Izmir. She went to primary school and high school in the same city. During 1975-1977, she studied design in Izmir Art and Sculpture Museum Directorate for two years. In 1980, she graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Department of Art, majoring in Graphic Design. Then, she received her licence degree. She worked as an art teacher for two years. Since 1979, she has been designing book covers, banners, emblems and logos. She is among the founders of the Aegean Foundation for Culture. At the moment, she continues her studies independently, in her own workshop in Izmir.
